Stephanopoulos’ foray into the world of real estate began in the early 1960s, after completing his studies in economics. In 1965, he made his first major real estate acquisition, a small commercial building in Athens. This initial venture was a leap into what would become a lifelong passion.Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Stephanopoulos’ expanded his portfolio beyond Greece, venturing into emerging markets in the Balkans and Southeastern Europe.

He was a pioneer, seeing potential where others saw risk, and his investments played a significant role in the economic development of the region. By the 1990s, he had established Kast Management, aiming to leverage his extensive experience and networks to aid other investors in navigating the complex real estate landscapes of these regions.
